認知療法を進めるにあたって、自分の自動的にわいてくる思考がどう歪んでいるかの定義をする必要があるらしい。「いやな気分よ、さようなら」によると、その自動思考が１０つに分類されるらしい。分類することで、どう歪んでいるかというのを修正しやすくするものです。

以下がその１０項目。

1. 全か無か思考(all-or-nothing thinking)
ほとんどの問題は, 白か黒かのどちらかに決めることはできず、事実はそれらの中間にあるものですが、物事を見るときに、「白か黒か」という両極端の見方をしてしまうことを「全か無か思考」といいます。

2.一般化のしすぎ(overgeneralization)
１つの良くない出来事があると，「いつも決まってこうだ」、「うまくいったためしがない」などと考えること。

3. 心のフィルター(mental filter)
１つの良くないことにこだわってくよくよ考え、他のことはすべて無視してしまうこと。ちょうど１滴のインクがコップ全体の水を黒くしてしまうように。「心のサングラス」ともいう。

4．マイナス化思考(disqualifying the positive)
単によいことを無視するだけでなく、なんでもないことやよい出来事を悪い出来事にすり替えてしまうこと。

5. 結論の飛躍(jumping to conclusion)
根拠もないのに悲観的な結論を出してしまう

　5-ａ. 心の読みすぎ(mind reading)
　ある人が自分に悪く反応したと早合点してしまうこと

　5-ｂ. 先読みの誤り(the fortune teller error)
　事態は確実に悪くなると決めつけること

6. 誇大視と過小評価(magnification and minimization)
自分の短所や失敗を過大に考え，逆に長所や成功したことを過小評価する。「双眼鏡のトリック」とも言う。

7. 感情的決めつけ(emotional reasoning)
自分の感情が現実をリアルに反映して、事実を証明する証拠であるかのように考えてしまうこと。

8. すべき思考(should thinking)
何かやろうとする時に「～すべき］「～すべきでない」と考える。

9. レッテル貼り(labeling and mislabeling)
ミスを犯した時に，「自分は敗北者だ」、「とんまもの！」などと自分にネガティブなレッテルを貼ってしまうこと。

10. 自己関連づけ(personalization)
何か良くないことが起こった時、自分に責任がないような場合でも自分のせいにしてしまうこと。
